I don’t hear or feel the alarm.

Allow notifications and alarms for PitCaptain when the app asks, or later in Settings > PitCaptain. For vibration, Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Vibration must be on. The alarm sounds 3 minutes before every change by default; you can change this in the settings of the app.

Ik hoor of voel het alarm niet.

Sta meldingen en alarmen voor PitCaptain toe als de app erom vraagt, of later via Instellingen > PitCaptain. Voor trillen moet Instellingen > Toegankelijkheid > Aanraken > Trilling aan staan. Het alarm gaat standaard 3 minuten vóór elke wissel; dat pas je aan in de instellingen van de app.

The race does not appear on my lock screen or in the Dynamic Island.

Check Settings > PitCaptain > Live Activities. The race appears as soon as it has started. The Dynamic Island does not show the race while PitCaptain itself is on screen, and is only available on iPhones with a Dynamic Island.

De race verschijnt niet op mijn toegangsscherm of in het Dynamic Island.

Controleer Instellingen > PitCaptain > Live Activities. De race verschijnt zodra hij is gestart. Het Dynamic Island toont de race niet zolang PitCaptain zelf in beeld is, en is alleen beschikbaar op iPhones met een Dynamic Island.

The race does not appear on my Apple Watch.

On your iPhone, open Watch > Smart Stack > Live Activities and turn on PitCaptain. On the watch, turn the Digital Crown up from the watch face to see the Smart Stack.

De race verschijnt niet op mijn Apple Watch.

Open op je iPhone Watch > Smart Stack > Live Activities en zet PitCaptain aan. Draai op het horloge de Digital Crown omhoog vanaf de wijzerplaat om de Smart Stack te zien.

How do I change the stint lengths during a race?

Open the running race and tap Adjust stints. Change a stint with – and +. A stint you set keeps its length (lock icon); PitCaptain spreads the remaining race time over the other stints, with driving time as equal as the rules allow.

Hoe pas ik de stinttijden aan tijdens een race?

Open de lopende race en tik op Stints aanpassen. Wijzig een stint met – en +. Een stint die je instelt, houdt zijn lengte (slotje); PitCaptain verdeelt de resterende racetijd over de andere stints, met de rijtijd zo gelijk als de regels toelaten.

A stop happened earlier or later than planned.

Record the change when it happens. PitCaptain recalculates the remaining stints at once, so the plan always matches the race. Another driver went out than planned? Use Change to another driver….

Een stop kwam eerder of later dan gepland.

Leg de wissel vast op het moment dat hij plaatsvindt. PitCaptain rekent de resterende stints direct opnieuw door, zodat het plan altijd klopt met de race. Ging er een andere rijder de baan op dan gepland? Gebruik Wissel naar andere rijder….

The race clock differs from the official timing.

Use Adjust race time to match the clock to the official timing, for example after a red flag or a delayed start.

De raceklok wijkt af van de officiële tijdwaarneming.

Gebruik Racetijd aanpassen om de klok gelijk te zetten met de officiële tijdwaarneming, bijvoorbeeld na een rode vlag of een uitgestelde start.

Can I use PitCaptain for car or sim racing?

Yes. PitCaptain plans on time: stint lengths, refuel windows and periods in which the pit lane is closed. It does not count laps and does not calculate fuel per lap.

Kan ik PitCaptain gebruiken voor autosport of simracing?

Ja. PitCaptain plant op tijd: stinttijden, tankvensters en perioden waarin de pitstraat gesloten is. De app telt geen ronden en berekent geen brandstof per ronde.

How do I share a race with my team?

Open a race in History to share it or to export it to a spreadsheet, or use Export all. Others open the file in PitCaptain or use History > Import.

Hoe deel ik een race met mijn team?

Open een race in Historie om hem te delen of te exporteren naar een spreadsheet, of gebruik Alles exporteren. Anderen openen het bestand in PitCaptain of gebruiken Historie > Importeren.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your device. Deleting the app deletes your races; export them first if you want to keep them.

Waar worden mijn gegevens bewaard?

Alleen op je toestel. Als je de app verwijdert, zijn je races weg; exporteer ze eerst als je ze wilt bewaren.

Is PitCaptain free?

Yes. PitCaptain is free and has no in-app purchases. The banner at the bottom of the race screen shows advertisements from sponsors; tapping it opens the website of the sponsor shown.

Is PitCaptain gratis?

Ja. PitCaptain is gratis en heeft geen aankopen in de app. De banner onderaan het racescherm toont advertenties van sponsors; als je erop tikt, opent de website van de sponsor die in beeld is.
